The entire New 52 is a residual effect. Flashpoint reset the DCU and brought in Wildstorm while it was at it.

This shyt is one of the best comic to video conversions not counting Anime/Manga. This movie is straight shytting on Live Action super hero flicks.

There's no hand holding, dudes are just cutting to backstory with no dialog and keeping it moving.
