I personally think that our mindset needs to be moreso on creating our OWN. As in complete separation. I dont think the black race will ever be at peace as long as we're cohabitating with whites. Damn demanding justice. We need total separation. Just my opinion.
Well that's what the noi has been pushing for 85 years.

demanding justice is demanding another intangible object that cant really be quantified.

and like @Michael9100 said, or else what? we gon march some more? lets not sell wolf tickets we cant cash :usure:

I believe they're talking from an economic standpoint. Martin Luther King organized the Montgomery bus boycott with a success outcome. Part of the reason is that blacks United for a specific cause. They also practiced cooperative economics. You can't be mad about uniting like minded black folks, especially in this current climate.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montgomery_Bus_Boycott

The boycott proved extremely effective, with enough riders lost to the city transit system to cause serious economic distress. Martin Luther King later wrote "[a] miracle had taken place." Instead of riding buses, boycotters organized a system of carpools, with car owners volunteering their vehicles or themselves driving people to various destinations. Some white housewives also drove their black domestic servants to work. When the city pressured local insurance companies to stop insuring cars used in the carpools, the boycott leaders arranged policies with Lloyd's of London, a company which once insured slave cargo ships.[25]

99% of this site only knows about NOI via the Malcolm Movie lol, they will spit how much they hate Farrakhan and the NOI and in the same sentence say Blacks need to do what the NOI has been teaching for years.

In the same sentence they will say Malcolm is their hero then say Louis and the NOI never accomplished anything, well what did Malcolm Accomplish or build?

lol idiots.

Idk breh, shyt just seems "different" rite now. Like we are really awakening to racism, systemic oppression, etc. I think social media is bringing awareness to alot of things now that they couldnt for all these years. Take that SAE chant vid for example. We are seeing with our own eyes how whites act when we're not around. These cop killings has been happening forever, but now with camera phones the truth is coming out. Remember the cop in SC recently that shot dude in the back and then casually planted the tazer next to him? That has been a regular occurance, but now the world is hip to actions like that That was a VERY important video. Ive had more random convos about race and oppression with total strangers in the past year than ever before. I just think we're at the beginning of a major change in conciousness among blacks. We just have to shun the ignorance on a mass scale and turn things like education and group economics "cool". Thats going to be the hard part. Ignorance has a vice grip on the black community and we refuse to acknowledge it

Our culture promotes and rewards ignorance which creates a further divide between "normal" blacks & "hood"/"ghetto" blacks. We def got a loooong way to go

I'm still studying trying to figure this out day by day.

We constantly use Hip Hop as an example but it's just as much the culture as the music.

I honestly can't tell if it's tribal because every single type of other ethnicity of people also live in poverty to some extent.

Blacks been "waking up" for the past 30 years, its just every time we start to become aware we get another distraction, in the 80s it was crack, which broke us down and made us vulnerable for Gangsta Rap and Consumerism to swoop in and keep us sleep. If America didnt have the unemployment situation for Blacks, where many of our youth are un and or under employed on top of that making crime rates rise, folks would still be sleep. Police brutality and Trayvon type events never stopped, its just the general public dont have butter biscuits to make them ignore these things, on top of Social Media allowing us to become our own Journalist so things can no longer be hidden. In 1994 if any of the stuff happening now went down you would not know unless riots in that town popped off.

The fact is dudes just want to talk about building they really don't want to build.
If they did they would have done it already.
