Both OS types have their own product eco systems and messaging systems that "everyone" in the OS uses furthermore my messaging system (hangout) also caters to those not on the os by supporting SMS at the same time.

Battery bogs down really for what android based manufacturer cuz there isn't just one?

Integration with a lot more not even a question what OS does more, remember third party apps are not locked out and gadgets like Chromecast exist.
