5 years ago if someone told me that black people would be caping for a skinny 20 year old Canadian white boy who dropped the n bomb, I would have looked at them crazy. WTF happened?

I don't know what happened either.

Times really are different now and I don't know if I like what I'm seeing nowadays. But threads like these and some of the post contained within really do paint a picture of the collective black identity that's confusing and troubling.

There's no part of me that would ever defend this guy and his words and actions. I personally don't believe in sacrificing my integrity or self-respect for false acceptance on an terms. I barely liked this guy's music. I think he's a cornball with no identity...and to top it off he says this?

Believe me thee....I have no problems throwing people under the bus for any degree of racism so for this situation it's an easy for me.

But for others in this threadI just feel moreso disappointed that there are actual black people that would defend this.

We obviously lost something about us trying to fit in the American landscape and this is proof.
