What else do you think he’d do with the $200 million? Leave it under the mattress?

He’s clearly gonna let that gain interest in a savings/investment account.

He’s set for life.
dude could put that 200 M in the stock market and live off 8 million a year

Beats by Dre was bought out in 2014 and Apple shares were about $92. In 2020 the stock split 4:1 So for every share Dre had he now has 4, and the share price rose to over $180 in 2021. It's currently trading at $142. There's no way he lost a dime with that stock "drop." Also included are quarterly dividends. Take everything this guys says with a spoonful of salt.

There was an article a few months back that talked about the effect the Elvis movie had on his music streams.
Most of his fans are too old for streaming or have passed so the royalties/pub for his music has been sinking for the last decade due to streaming

Maybe some artists decided cashing out at 9 figures>> owning masters that decrease in value actually. Unless you’re an artist who can remain relevant through generations/add value:jbhmm:
