Well that's not true cause on first take all they do is make up excuses for why Herbert can't win a game where his defense doesn't play lights out and the other team doesn't turn it over a thousand times.

One guy can't dominate a game? Then why they pay him the most money ever at the time

Clutchness can't be measured and is often times narrative driven.

Look at one way you can measure "putting the nail in the coffin." 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drives. Not saying Herbet is master of this, but what is Purdy or Tua doing that he isn't? (and both of them are in better situations)

I dont think this stat works on the Chargers who seem to be an anomoly. Either always down by a score with a chance to win. Or always up by a score with a chance for the other team to beat them. So Herbert has a lot more chances to win games I bet. Also he has alot more chances to ice games.


Now many would say,if the QB is up at the end of the game,and the defense gives up a touchdown,hows that on the QB? Herbert knows what type of team he is on. If your up by 3,and have a chance to go up by another touchdown to make it a two score game? I have no choice but to put that L on you as the QB. Or at least the right to say your not one of those guys,your not a closer.


A better coach would win them alot more of these games imo. But it still wouldnt prove to me that Herbert is that closer with the clutch intangible. So he would probably still be a fizzling out in the playoffs where you will likely need that clutch attribute.

Because he's 25 years old and top 5 at the most important position on the field, thats the way the payscale goes. With that being said..Every position in the NFL even the kicker is dependent on teammates to get their job done. You can't be this fukkin dumb in real life

Dak is completing 70% of his passes He has 26 touchdowns to 6 interceptions #6 in yards per game and #3 in total yards Dak and Brock Purdy are the top 2 rated QBs in the league. That's not bad company. Statistically Herbert and Mahomes have almost the same stats just looking at passing.
