Generally speaking, Rich Gannon was an excellent decision maker, he just happened to have his all tine worst game on the Superbowl stage. With many factors weighing against him. Pro Bowl Center, Barrett Robbins having a bipolar episode and going AWOL on the week of the Superbowl. Playing a hungry, all time great defense, whose head coach was the former coach, who knew their offense, playbook, tendencies and calls, inside out!!
Give me your honest evaluation of Herbert...

Give me your honest evaluation of Herbert...
Prototype size,.big strong, mobile, tough, incredible arm, capable of awe inspiring throws, but will miss gimmes more than you would like. Great deep ball. Shaky decision maker with inconsistent pocket presence. He reminds me of 2002 Peyton Manning. Manning improved drastically from 02 to 03. It was his decision making and pocket presence which turned the corner. Once Herbert shores that up, if he shores that up..Will he take the next step and become truly elite, time will tell. He does need another WR,.though. A better tight end, too.

@KidJSoul you avoiding this thread, my guy 😆 no more of that "Herbert plays well in big games" talk...
Chill breh game just ended 😆😆😆

Honestly! I'll eat crow.

I defended him for the jags loss because he had more excuses

But today? He was just ass and cost his team.

I still maintain that he's had some good games where he was clutch. Like this year against the Bengals and Broncos.

But I definitely underestimated the games where he struggled. I was being too soft on him in those games And didn't expect it to flare up

He needs to fix 2 things:

His inaccuracy in intermediate and short throws - sometimes he randomly throws too much heat or underthrows

Decision making- I'm not gonna lie sometimes he's retarded. Randomly not moving in the pocket, randomly throwing short to a well covered receiver on 3rd or 4th down

:francis: we'll see how he looks next year with better weapons

Herbert definitely needs better skill talent around him. McConkey was an outstanding draft pick...

LA needs to be trying to throw the bag at Tee Higgins. Whatever his price is, they need to pay it...

I disagree with that.
He was a terrible decision maker with minny and KC.
Now I will credit Callahan and gruden for saving his career but he was always making throws he shouldn't have attempted in the early years.

That was the knock on him for years hit him early and pressure him and he will start slinging that bytch crazy
