The way the NFL is set up with the salary cap and free agency, it’s hard for quarterbacks to be consistent.

A lot of QB’s including Mahomes offer get bailed out by their defense, but still get all the credit. The standard is all over the place.

First they have to put up numbers.
Then they have do carry the team if they have a bad defense.
Then even if they put up numbers, they have to make crucial game changing throws all the time.
They gotta deal with roster turnover as well.
All this just because Justin aint delivering? :comeon: His defense held KC to 7 pts in the 2nd half yesterday and those came late in the 4th. His offense had every chance to tie the game or take the lead and did nothing in a game they sorely needed.

No denying its a team game and dependent position. But all that goes out the window when you got one guy making damn near a qtr of the cap and getting all the shine. If the Chargers were 6-0 right now would the discussiom be about the defense or roster turnover? QBs get the credit and the blame :manny:. Just like I was saying in that Micah :sadbron: thread you dont get to turn it off when its inconvenient.

I mean I understand what you are trying to say, and I can't dispute it yet until we get more body of work so I'll allow it

Jamar Chase
Justin Jefferson
Devonte Adams
Stephon Diggs
AJ Brown
Keenan Allen
a few other solid WR1s save their QBs....just lean on them to make freakish highlight-reel catches

Mahomes and Lamar don't got that

Mahomes and Lamar are on their own tier

Ya’ll nikkas are such simpletons

Justin Herbert plays for the DUMBEST COACH IN THE NFL and one of the worst franchises in the NFL PERIOD.

The Spanos family are horrible they are cheap and terrible owners

Ya’ll some surface level analog ass nikkas
You know that alot of us actually watch the games, right? QB school, too? We see the frequent overthrows to wide open targets, the starind down of WR's, the deer in headlights, Scott Mitchell when facing a blitz, throwing into a window thats not there instead if using his athleticism to extend the play like Ben and Josh Allen do on the regular. His coach is a moron, but that has little to do with all the plays he leaves on the field.

Glad you mentioned it's easy to scapegoat the coaches...but Herbert is wildly inaccurate

Great pos. That defense overperformed to give them several chances, but Herbert couldnt sustain drives. Its like he is allergic to converting 3rd downs. It was 17-17 for the longest. I knew he wouldnt get it done, and he proved me right.

I’m speaking to the position overall. Herbert has been overhyped since his junior year in college. He has all of the physical tools, but that don’t make him great. The media was shocked he came back for his senior year. He never won any big games at Oregon. And he couldn’t beat out Tyrod Taylor as a rookie. If that doctor wouldn’t have fukked up, who knows where Herbert would be at right now.

The game is so fukked up they basically got rid of passer rating, because back in the day an 85 was decent, now every QB has that rating more or less.

I cant lie...I saw where they said Mahomes had a 96 passer rating and it was his careee low and I waa like "Wait...aint that good? :dwillhuh:"

Thats actually all the more reason why there is no excuses...the game has been tilted to QBs. You cant hit them or the recievers. Running backs are considered a dime a dozen. 4000 yds is common place and 70% completions is getting there. Most teams are making moves based on what helps the QB or makes them happy vs what makes the team most complete.

Disrespecting the fukk out of Kelce acting like he doesn't impact games on the same level as the names you listed.

Mark Andrews doesn't belong on that tier but him being the #1 option on Baltimore is a segue into the discussion of why Lamar has one playoff win in four seasons as a starter.

Burrow is also a passenger

Lamar and Mahomes are the only bus drivers

Yeah none of the other qbs give me fear as an opposing fan.

Josh Allen comes close because of his talent.

I go into games watching Herbert and Burrow and I expect them to fuk up.

Peyton, Rogers, Brady, and Brees used to put the fear of God in defenses.

You had to play a perfect game or shyt was gonna get ugly

Keenan Allen aint exactly a scrub. Nor is Mike Willams (when he plays :francis:). They just drafted another WR in the 1st round. Palmer does work when others are out. And he got Ekeler. He doesnt get the weapons plea. Got it better than Lamar ever had it before this year and folks were questioning his ability to pass up until this season. There were all kinds of question and hesitation about paying Lamar this offseason. 0 when it came to giving Herbert an even bigger deal after, again, doing less with more. shyt he got it better than Pat. TE is the only position where Pat has an edge.
They completely blew it on that TCU WR, man is a complete scrub. Can't get any targets even with Mike Williams out

I just don't see it with this dude....A less motivated Dan Marino....Chargers will be at most a divisional round contender for the duration of his contract

Overrated.

The media has been sucking him off all of his career but he hasn't done anything.
Just to be clear this isn't about Philip Rivers right? :pachaha:
