I'm judging QBs based on their contribution to the team's effort to win, not the end result of a win or loss. Lamar Jackson fell short last year too, what does that say about him as a player compared to Jalen Hurts?

Its hilarious to me that we are bumping this thread right now. We already know he has hella talent, he's proven that.

He is in the same boat as Lamar and Josh, except worse, because he's not only never won a playoff game, his playoff performances are worse than the worst we have seen from Allen or Lamar.

We know he has a high ceiling already. This Chargers team is really fukking dominant and they are a legit title contender, but we are still talking about a guy with a terrible track record in the playoffs right now.

He's Just A Guy until we see the playoff dominance match the regular season upside.

Seriously. Herbert needs a good playoff performance but its WEIRD and illogical to believe he was genuinely not good.

Talent and ability was never in doubt its just that dude was playing more within himself than he should have been, he can legit scramble and there's an aspect to him where he should be less risk adverse with the arm he has, then there's the fact he had some trash coaching plus been a little banged up and now Harbaugh is coaxing something more resembling his full potential and its getting better and better


It's kind of like Josh Allen got a bit more like Herbert in his game to take the next step and Herbert is getting a bit more Josh Allen in him and both are meeting more in the middle and its doing wonders but yeah its nice to see Herbert adding these lil layers to his game.
