that white boyif that's why they like it better than so be it
i couldn't explain why i like half the shyt i listen to (nor would i care to) i just know it sounds good to me![]()
Meek sold more than that doe
i would a agree, never liked JT but the fact that he's still somewhat making r&b music when it's dead commercially(unlike the early 2k's) makes me think he's genuinely just into the music.can you blame him? justin timberlake didn't even have an album out that year. it's funny how you guys dikkrider justin timberlake as if mtv and these media outlets aren't overhyping and overrating his ass.don't want to make it a black or white thing but they wouldn't do that shyt for a black artist.
and fukkers sound stupid talking about black music and white music. since when did music become black and white? calling a white person that does r&b music a culture stealer is racist. i'm tired of seeing black people being racist towards white people and using the excuse that because there's some racist white people that gives them the right
the only beef i have with justin timberlake is how he basically uses shyt for HIMSELF. he jumped into the rap and r&b lane because it suited his interest to further his music career. he wouldn't be fukking with hip hop and r&b if it wasn't viable for his ass so fukk him. it just disgusts me to see how his ass is going to do "a history of hip hop" as if his ass cares about hip hop. he doesn't. it annoys me to see how his bytch ass will be ready to trash kanye BUT then will be on his knees, backtracking and kissing his ass if it came down to staying relevant to help his career. it's amazing how folks hate on kanye who actually makes hip hop popular and profittable where people like justin timberlake run to it and use it for a big payday, fronting like he cares about the culture. i feel he's making a mockery of it from putting cornrows in his hair to doing skits about the history of hip hop and then doing songs with rappers. you guys can't be serious celebrating this a$$holes success which most definitely hasn't been earned.
i swear, when the hip hop and r&b lane no longer suits his interest as in furthering his career and pockets money wise, watch him run to another music genre and FRONT like he gives a fukk about it. basically using artists and producers, then doing the same bullshyt antics where he tries to act like he has an interest in the certain music culture. then you'll have rollingstone, mtv and these other media outlets turning around and say that justin timberlake is "revolving" or showing how much of a "musical genius" he is by going to another direction.that is one reason why i refuse to give justin timberlake respect as an actor, music artist and etc. he clearly is just using shyt. he's just as bad as a narcissist as britney spears is.
Just to put Justin's first week numbers in perspective:
1) Since SoundScan started tracking data in 1991, there have only been 31 instances where an album sold more than 850,000 copies in a single week.
2) The all-time best-selling week was when Timberlake's former group, 'N Sync, saw its "No Strings Attached" album debut with 2.42 million at No. 1 on the April 8, 2000 Billboard 200 chart
3) In the late '00s and into the '10s, enormous sales weeks became less frequent, as more people opted to stream albums or purchase digital tracks
4) since 2005, there have just been eight weeks where an album did 850,000-plus. All seven of them did so in their debut frames: 50 Cent's "The Massacre" (1.14 million; March 19, 2005), Kanye West's "Late Registration" (860,000; Sept. 17, 2005), West's "Graduation" (957,000; Sept. 29, 2007), Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" (1.01 million; June 28, 2008), Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" (1.05 million; Nov. 13, 2010), Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" (1.11 million, June 11, 2011), Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter IV" (964,000; Sept. 17, 2011) and Swift's "Red" (1.21 million; Nov. 10, 2012).
