It's The Weeknd's favourite album too. It's plainly obvious too.


Subject matter is different. But, Weeknd's sound is Ginuwine/Timbo inspired.

I'd say The Weeknd takes inspiration from cats like
THE Dream, trip hop artists and that chopped/screwed sound
he's pretty far from Genuwine not just subject matter wise
but musically.
I'd even say Kanye and 40 are probably big direct influences
to his music over Genuwine abd Timbo.
