I can't knock you for how you feel family, I'm sure your experiences validate that. I've been fortunate to take a path that has let me see beyond what people are conditioned into who and what they truly are. We all see it too, but usually only in times of crisis or disaster. I just don't see the point.

:salute: doe.

That's peace though. But I do want to clarify. IMO there are 2 different types of white people, There is the Eminem/Rude Jude (still white, kinda biased in regards to their belief, but ultimately cool as fukk) and then you have the other kind. The full of shyt, we are the victim muthafukkas. Those are the ones I am referring too, and fukk every single one of those types of people.

so fred hampton malcom x and even martin luther king were assassinated for the same reasons as kennedy, lincoln and regan? even though regan was actively figuring ways to fukk black people over? :patrice:
what happen in the past doesn't mean as a people we aren't or can't overcome the circumstances of white supremacy. Dude I replied too said it doesn't matter what Williams says because of what happen in the past to other fallin leaders. What I'm saying is that doesn't mean new leaders can't arise, and we can be stronger collectively as a people when they bring the message to the masses.

I honestly don't know what the other brehs intention of using Malcolm and Hamptons name in regards to what I replied to the other breh with.

They killed Hampton as to kill all hopes of a "Black Messiah" as was the exact terminology used by that fat fukk Hoover.
So you think we should put Jessie Williams up there with Hampton? My point is in today's society we have multiple platforms to rapidly get messages like Williams across, and he isnt the 1st of last celebrity to speak on such matters since those that have fallen for the cause. The issue is are we going to get to the point of mobilization, and start reinforcing what we already know with real action. I believe it's happing now.

I didn't hear speech, but if it wasn't focusing on unity and all people not being regarded by the race, but as humans, then it was not a good speech.

You should feel no special connection of any sort to anyone simply because of skin color, but only because we are human.

All this pro black, pro white, pro mexican stuff is all nonsense.

How about EVERYONE start preaching pro-Human.

Did you even listen to his speech? Honest question. What I'm saying is, you can't possibly start to preach pro-human until you address why we as black people aren't even treated equally. If you look at me as beneath you, how can you truly turn around and preach pro-human? I'm speaking in general.
I took it that Timberlake brought up the "pro-human" we are all "one race - the human race" in response to being labeled a "culture vulture". Because essentially what that means is white people have taken an art form from black people and used it for themselves to prosper. And although I know there is truth to that, it also makes me uncomfortable.

If it's fair to label JT, and white rappers as culture vultures, can white people turn around and start saying blacks are culture vultures when they participate in activities that have previously been exclusively white? I'm not going to say I have researched the history of these, but opera, ballet, golf, country music - traditionally "white" activities. What if white people as a whole labeled black participants in those fields "culture vultures"?

I didnt say that. I will say his chosen platform was a tad bit better then some m
Semi popular podcast or Twitter page though. So props to him for that. 6 channels including Nickolodean...

Sadlly there will not be a revolution. We already had that. There is subtle change and evolving going on though. To that I definitely agree.

This is one of the reasons that I do not take The Coli serious on anything having to do with Black issues. They act like just because someone is mixed, it automatically means they are out of touch or somehow disqualified from speaking on Black issues. By Coli logic, Malcolm X should've stayed silent on Black issues because one of his maternal grand parents was white.

You beat me to it. Cats are stupid cuz they think with their feelings.

Not enough logic. Too much common sense.

We ARE all the same. Justin timberlake is 100% right.

I am black, and I have never really encounter racism in my life. In fact in my lifetime, it has been other "black" people that have been more racist towards me in most aspects of life.

A lot of people, put themselves in situation where they are treated unequally, but a lot of times it is because of their attitude.

Like for example, in a lot of these police cases involving a white cop and black victim, the black person is resisting arresting or trying to test the cops power, putting themselves in a situation for something bad to happen. Why not just be respectful to the cop, let him say what he has to say, then go on about your business?

Most of the time, I get stopped by a white cop, I was respectful, talked to them and they would reduce my ticket or even let me go without a ticket.

Even one time, a cop came to court date and helped me get charges dropped for a traffic incident.

don't tell me. Black feminists are complaining

I saw a couple of people just dismissing what he was trying to do cause of his complexion or being a man :snoop:

Jeesie williams could be out there loving life- driving race cars on his days off and fukking all kind of exotic bytches ..he was teacher before his acting career took off and always done a lot of activism and kept at it .. it wild that people try to shoot the messenger for shyt he cant change

people were saying he can only do that speech cause hes a light skin man :why:

reason he can say this is because his boss on his show is black and own a night on there network

the same women who wrote grey anatomy made scandal and how to get away with murder

Here's the reality, racism will never go away. As long as we all look different, it'll always be there. It's the easiest thing for people to defer to when making judgements.

Anybody who talks some "we are all human" is right, we are. However, we won't stand by and practice that card as a united whole until we're facing immediate eradication from nature, an alien species, or a Divine power.

Until then, we'll note each others' differences and place stereotypes on them. The reason why we do this? "We are all human."
