K. Dot vs Jay Electronica: Who is the better MC?

I ask this because I feel like one of the only MC's I feel that could give Kendrick that work is already on the track with him. I feel like if they were all in the studio together making this at the same time, the outcome would have been WAY different.


I fukk wit both of these dudes HEAVY, but if I absolutely had to choose....

I'm going with Jay Electronica.

Kendrick, and this is coming from someone who genuinely believed Jay Elec was the best rapper alive a few years ago. Jay Elec at his best(Eternal Sunshine. so what you saying, exhibit a/c, my world) is better than Kendrick at his best. but Kendrick is just more consistent, better at making songs and has a better all around skillset(better flow, mic presence). I still give Elec the edge in lyricism however. but until Jay Elec finally drops that official project, Kendrick is significantly better at this point, imo

Damn, well said! In a cypher I would take Jay, but yeah making albums I agree. I would take Kendrick.

Big fan of both, but Kendrick.

Elec can be more complex, but doesn't have the ability to make me listen to say one of his songs daily for a while the way that Kendrick does.

Plus you know...Kendrick actually releases music.
