Ka is way to dope.I just might have to cop this !
First I'd ever heard of him was on Rocs album and I didn't really like him on that tbh
I just listened to the tracks posted, his sound is too monotone for me I'm not sure I could listen to a whole album

roc's album was my first time hearing him and i wasn't too thoroughly impressed as well, but i tracked down his album and thought it was great. his flow is simple and his voice is a bit monotone, but i enjoyed it over the course of the album as oppose to just one track after i got used to it. iron age off grief pedigree is my shyt too

ka's pen game is as good if not better than roc marc IMO.

While I wait for the album to come in the mail, I wanted to discuss the two most prevalent criticisms that I hear about Ka.
"His voice is too monotone."
Unless a rapper's voice annoys me, I don't even make note of it. When I started to see people say this, I wondered what they hear? I probably listen to many other rappers that are considered monotone but I wouldn't ever notice. What other rappers are monotone that you do/don't listen to? When I hear Ka rap, I don't hear monotonicity at all. I hear someone who has lived what he speaks. There is heavy emotion in everything that he says.
The next one is "Where are the drums?"
If the beat is jamming then I could not ask for more. Never once have I been listening to Grief Pedigree and said "I sure wish this song had drums". I'm sure that Ka knows what's best for the beat. Should he just add drums because you want them? Do all songs without drums get on your nerves or is it just Ka?
