There wasn't any separation in the endzone until Sherman turned to make a play. Plus the way Crabtree jumped, his momentum was taking him backwards while Sherman moved towards the ball, making it look like there was separation after the fact. Sherm was with him step for step until then.

the read of defense as is was good, the decision was bad because decision didnt account for him being shytty at fade routes, crabs not being good on fade routes and sherman covering.

there is a difference between bad reads and bad decisions. peyton is the GOAT defense reader, for example, but hes not the best decision maker given how good he is at understanding the opponents defenses
