Kai Cenat gave my album 6/10 cause he’s too young to understand it, you gotta be older to get it- Lil Baby

He ain't wrong...Baby is now in that late period Picasso phase where his art is becoming more abstract and expressionistic. It's like when Coltrane dropped Ascension. Some people didn't understand it. It was too advanced and experimental. But you gotta listen to the notes that Baby's marble mouth doesn't play. He's tearing up the melodic rule book with his new music so understandable it might not sound good to the untrained ear.

Posting all that when you could have just said it's like when Miles dropped "In a Silent Way". The young folk aren't clued into the musical idiom that Lil Baby is pioneering :mjcry:

So? That don’t really mean much tbh
.
EST Gee came out after Baby and he in the same boat.

Lil Baby was dropping projects with Starlito features.
He wasn’t on no rage shyt, no quirky shyt, no dance shyt, no emo shyt. He makes hard street rap on hard beats.

Even the auto tune settings he uses sounds dated nowadays to the young
His age has nothing to do with the music. He not saying nothing from what i gather. Neither is Uzi who fell off a cliff. That carti cat need to out a album because he not gonna out sell Baby.

These cats dont appeal to the masses anymore. They just getting by from their core fanbase. Alot of their core bouncing too. We in a “you fell off era” right now

I dont hear no fanbase saying someone getting better or on par with some of their best work
