This isn’t a good example. How do you feel when you interview for a job, feel everything went well, then find out someone else got the position.

It's actually an excellent example, you just lack the nuance to perceive it.

It wasn't a good example and I don't think you are using the word nuance correctly.

Nuance refers to the subtle difference that exists between objects, concepts etc. It does not make sense to say that someone missed something because they lacked nuance.

I think what you meant to attack was my comprehension skills, that they're not good enough to pick up on the subtle connection between the example and your claim.

Of course, you are inadvertently proving that the example you provided was poor. A good example should have a connection that is easy to see.
