I got family in the Bay, funny how Kamala never put them in prison, probably because they didnt commit any crimes .
I always thought black people should aspire to be defense attorneys rather than prosecutors considering how much the lack of legal representation that black community has contributes to our level of incarceration in this country.

If you need a defense attorney it’s almost too late. You wanna be on the side of prosecutorial discretion, if you can’t literally write the laws themselves.
I don't know about this, I feel like a lot of people do more time and even get convicted more often because they don't have a real legal team on their side and are relying on a court appointed person who sometimes hasn't even read your casework before appearing before the judge. Their strategy seems to be take a plea to reduce your sentence rather actually fighting the charges
