at the federal level, The Democrats are not an opposition party. They are a conventionalist party.

For about 40 years now, they have purely been put in place to manage the administrative state, sell neo liberal post Cold War free trade, and keep the incremental siphon of public resources to the private going. And to satiate the public, they would write legislation to end the more disrespectful and degrading treatments of minority people, but never actually addressed the socioeconomic factors that kept many of the same people at the bottom of the income ladder.

And they still were the better option than voting for Donald Trump or allowing the election to go in Trump’s favor by not supporting the Democrats. No one was voting for the Democrats out of hope that they would advance the United States , it was an act of cynical pragmatism.

We all knew supporting them wasnt the way forward, but what it would do is prevent us from walking backwards into a beehive….that’s on fire…and covered in HIV blood.

Sucks to hear but unless something drastic changes, we are inching ever closer to the end of American democracy and people are going to suffer.

And more than likely die because of it.

I remember making a post here saying that the critical mistake that pro-Palestinian non-voters and third-party supporters were making is assuming that things can’t get any worse for black folks in the west and Palestinians and some posters sarcastically replied that “GaZA iS iN RubBle , HOw CaN It GeT WoRse?” or “ blAck FolKs ArE AlReadY aT tHe BoTtOM!” as if it hasn’t objectively gotten worse for the Palestinians or for black folks since Trump took office :mjlol:

I will close by giving the protesters and unserious clowns like the green party some advice:

The sooner that they realize that the federal Democrats cannot be shamed into compliance and additionally, the sooner they realize that they are not going to dirty Mack voters away from the Democrats by talking bad about them, the quicker they’ll come to the realization that they need real tangible wins to actually change the political landscape in this country.
No one is going to just support good intentions, third parties need real wins to build momentum. And expressing outrage at the genocide of the Palestinians is not enough! They need to sell a reason for Americans to care! People dying is not enough for Americans to care!

Showing a single Midwestern mom of three a picture of a dead Palestinian child is going to elicit sadness, but what the fukk is she gonna do about it if she has to work two jobs to feed her own goddamn children? There has to be something in it for Americans in order to rally tangible support against the genocide.
Great write up

Bmore stand up!
It’s never been more clear that racism and sexism are the reasons why Kamala lost. These people never show up to any of the current administration’s events, but they find the money and time to travel to harass a black woman.
You mean, Indian and black woman

There are pro - P*lestine rallies every single day in almost every major city. They are protesting Trump, corporations, businesses, their local politicians, Ice, and working on divestment from Isr@el. Because it’s not in your algorithms is not their fault. There is a mass arrest of protesters happening in NY right now - did you know?

Biden and Kamala gave Isr@el an open door just like Trump to do whatever the fk they wanted, yet unlike Trump, they kept lying about their actions and intentions. The Democrats also patronized the pro Pal movement and constantly talked down to them, like right now. Biden, Kamala, Schumer and Hakeem being the worst the lot.

Biden and Kamala also led the crackdown on protesters in particular in College campuses. This set up the precedent for Trump to follow, and naturally he followed suit and has taken it to another level, so thank the Democrats for setting up the framework for this to happen.

The pro Pal movement warned the Democrats for 10 months to change course and were belittled, ignored, arrested and beaten. The Democrats deserve everything they get from that crowd for the rest of their lives. Biden/Kamala and their cronies are trying re-write and whitewash their actions now, fk that. They allowed the g*nocide to happen and also started the crackdown on protesters - they should be reminded of this for the rest of their lives. The same way Bush should be reminded he’s a war criminal, the same way Obama should be reminded he droned civilians.

When are y’all gonna realize when it comes to Isr@el, that both parties are the fkn same? They are both evil, there is no difference. Oh wow, G*za is a parking lot, well done Trump right…? Ahh, Biden/Kamala did the same fkn thing. Unlimited funds, no pushback.

If you don’t give a fk about 600k people dying, then at least care that your politicians are serving another country. Your money is going to another country. That country has healthcare thanks to you whilst your mom has to work 2 jobs. Kamala, like Trump, Biden and all the others is serving a1pac.

Historians 50 years from now are gonna look back at this moment in time and are going to be utterly confused.

"Wait... all they had to do was say 'no' to the genocide? :dahell:"

That's it.

And they didn't.

And they chose losing to the worst president ever.

Over saying NO to Israel.

THAT is what history will record.

That, along with their dumb sycophants in this thread defending their actions and wondering why anyone would try and hold them accountable for their despicable actions.

Nooooooooooooo, they will say how wasn't that mofo in prison. The genocide alone wasn't why she lost. If anyone thinks THIS particular issue won't just be a footnote about this period, you ascribe too much importance to this issue.

That would mean something if we didn’t have historical examples of leftists sabotaging liberal democracies and ushering in fascist regimes

The German, English and French communists said “what’s the difference between the English and French empires and Hitler?”

And they said it all the way to the gas chambers.

They say the same thing we say now. The shear arrogance, hubris and short sightedness doomed the millions.

I’m sure all the brown people languishing in prison camps are thankful for your sacrifice.

And to satiate the public, they would write legislation to end the more disrespectful and degrading treatments of minority people, but never actually addressed the socioeconomic factors that kept many of the same people at the bottom of the income ladder.

And that is why there has been an intra party struggle (starting in 2016 with Bernie Sanders candidacy) to reorient the priorities of the party from fraternizing with corporate America, to truly serving the needs of everyday Americans, and that is why the struggle is intensifying.

And they still were the better option than voting for Donald Trump or allowing the election to go in Trump’s favor by not supporting the Democrats. No one was voting for the Democrats out of hope that they would advance the United States , it was an act of cynical pragmatism.

Well that was the mistake the Democrats made. Thinking the "I'm better than Trump" argument would work. It has failed. Twice.

We all knew supporting them wasnt the way forward, but what it would do is prevent us from walking backwards into a beehive….that’s on fire…and covered in HIV blood.

Well, that has failed twice. Will the DeMIDcrats make that decision again?

Sucks to hear but unless something drastic changes, we are inching ever closer to the end of American democracy and people are going to suffer.

And more than likely die because of it.

And that was the gamble the DeMIDcrats made. They told us a lot was at stake if Trump won. Why didn't they go the whole mile and do everything possible to convince regular people otherwise?

You know they're full of shyt, and you held your nose to vote for them. Some voters aren't that cynical, and actually vote their conscience. If the DeMIDcrats can't realize that, they're equally culpable in this experiment of American Democracy ending.

Then again, I wouldn't expect much of a party where many of it's members, including the leader of the DeMIDcrats in the house, voted to memorialize Charlie Kirk. They clearly don't give a fukk about Democracy :mjlol:

Well. There's an opportunity for the next Democratic candidate to do something wonderful then ...

But you just admitted that they did! Otherwise, why are you typing this long ass post? :mjlol:

If voters were not "dirty mack'd" away from Kamala, why did she lose?

And what is the issue with pointing out the flaws in the Democrats? You literally did this in your second paragraph.

, the quicker they’ll come to the realization that they need real tangible wins to actually change the political landscape in this country.

Yeah, no shyt. It's not just about ending support of an apartheid state. It's about ending corporate influence in our politics. It's about tangible benefits for everyday Americans like healthcare. It's about rebuilding our infrastructure and proofing ourselves against climate change. The list goes on.

No one is going to just support good intentions, third parties need real wins to build momentum. And expressing outrage at the genocide of the Palestinians is not enough! They need to sell a reason for Americans to care! People dying is not enough for Americans to care!

I'm speaking more from the perspective of the Democrats but if the Green Party "spoils" enough elections then a reasonable party will look to adopt some pillars of said party in order to woo some voters over.

This is ignoring the point that if you assigned all Green Party votes to Kamala she still would have lost.

And most importantly, I'll just borrow a phrase of yours

Expressing outrage at Trump's depravity is not enough! They need to sell a reason for Americans to care! People dying because of Trump is not enough for Americans to care!

And this has actually been proven, TWICE!

And the number one person who needs to hear what you just said, is Kamala. In case her dumb ass feels the need to run again. She needs to convince regular people like the single Midwestern mom of three that her campaign is not simply a doorstop against aggressive Republican retardation, but a pathway to true socioeconomic progress at home at least.

And, she didn't.

That is why we are here. Because of Kamala's choice to shed any principled stance and play the poll tested game. Her strategy backfired, massively. Good riddance to her and her style of politics. Hoping the likes of Newsome get the message.
