It’s not both sides without context. Republicans have marching orders, Democrats have factions as a big tent. Unfortunately a lot of those are captured by big money but the rest are negotiating while Republicans are acting. If the main takeaway is they shpuld oppose Republicans, they broadly do, but they don’t have congressional teeth to stop anything because the majority of damage being done is being done executively which Congress can reign in but Republicans control both chambers.

I had a convo with another poster and they mentioned Dems could use the “seven member rule” to compel oversight…but 2 years ago a rule was put in place that to do so requires the oversight chair to sign off. The current oversight chair is Republican.
