More marathon/longevity based records for lebron. He's not a prolofic scorer. Kareem is the all time leading scorer based on total points but isnt seen in the same vein as mike and wilt who were ferocious scorers with many scoring accolades. Kareem's career high is 55 points. Lebron is in the same boat. No one looks at him in that light as some unstoppable scoring force of nature. Play long enough and you'll accumulate stats based on time like favre in the nfl as well. Karl malone got 36k points. Lebron is in the same boat. Will never be in the 30 ppg club for his reg/playoff career.
33.5 ppg vs 28.3 ppgYup. 4,379 shot attempts compared to 4,497 for Jordan to gain the record isn't any scorer.
Yeah but who is regarding that 30 ppg part who has that average other than Mike and WIlt. Bron has averaged 30 or more twice in his career and multiple times in the playoffs. No way he couldn't be a career 30 ppg scorer if he wanted to and at 27.1 i'm pretty sure he's 3rd or 4th on the all time PPG list.More marathon/longevity based records for lebron. Could have if he wanted to and actually being are miles away and what separates the greats. Anybody can do anything if they wanted to.Yeah but who is regarding that 30 ppg part who has that average other than Mike and WIlt. The fact is Jordan and wilt are prolific scorers who you couldnt stop. No team left jordan open in the finals and dared him to make 15 footers like the spurs did to lebron. He would've scored 70 a game if the suns did that to him in 93 instead of 41 ppg.
Jordan 10 scoring titles, wilt 7
Jordan and wilt got 3000+ points in a season
Lebron is a consistent above average scorer like kareem and malone
Teams give lebron a cushion 1) because he has a broken jumper and 2) you cant get near him or if its a foul. Thats why he's unstoppable going to the rim. And? If teams guarded Lebron like they did Kobe or MJ (Tight), he'd get past them at will and score in the lane. Teams don't give Lebron a cushion for shyts and giggles, it's just impossible to guard him like that because all he needs is a single step to become unstoppable attacking the rim.
Lebron passed Jordan's playoff record despite taking a 100 less shots. How is that not impressive?
You're seriously still trying to argue in 2017 that LeBron doesn't have a jump shot? You're going to try arguing that LeBron couldn't handle guys 45 pounds smaller than him?Teams give lebron a cushion 1) because he has a broken jumper and 2) you cant get near him or if its a foul. This is a man who cried when fukkin kirk heinrich fouled him hard on a fast break. Would've loved to see how he wouldve handled the knicks and pistons that Jordan went against where those types of fouls were the norm and done by rodman, mahorn, salley, mason, and mcdaniels not little kirky heinrich.
Accumulating stats over time is not as impressive over higher per game stats over a 10+ year career. 33ppg over 10+ years will always be >>>> 28 ppg over 10+ years in the playoffs.
