This is statement is historically accurate because the majority of the New Testament was written around 65 years after Jesus's death. This fact makes it very much a possibility that Paul and his disciples accounts of Jesus were all made up.

What's even more suspicious is the writings of Paul and his disciples noted that Jesus was going to return within their lifetime.

If Jesus were God how would he not be able to instruct his disciples on when his return was going to occur?

It would defeat the purpose of faith, also it's pretty clearly stated that the people of the house of David had to basically suffer for all the previous transgressions, and the future ones too, just look at how most people act these days
