It shouldn't have been even close. Republicans outnumber democrats by almost 3 to 1 in that district. Even if Thompson won that seat, he probably would've lost it in 2018.

After doing some reading, I'm more on board with the argument that the National Democratic machine may need to stay out of these places.
Jon Osoff supposedly is getting hammered with ads about "Liberal Elites" trying to influence their campaign from the "outside". Here is one ad by the NRA which is pretty cutting.
Tbh, I don't think the robocalls from top Dems help but the money for organizing and ads is all I think people expect them to help with.
Cant peep at the moment but it's all about messaging. The Dems act like they can't counter the narrative and bullshyt that Republicans spew.
