It's not that difficult to believe. It's actually easy to believe if you get that they lay lines & verses down a bit at a time, and keep thinking of lines as they go.

It's very rare to have a rapper go in an do entire verses & songs without trying things out and recording them.

There's been stories about how Wayne punches in 2 to 4 bars at a time because he's recording as he comes up with lines. Kanye takes MONTHS to write verses & songs, so he probably has multiple versions of songs & verses before he chooses the final product.

Even Jay has changed up from that Heart of The City in 15 minutes, One Minute Man in 1 take, Blueprint in 2 weeks pace he used to be on.
