Kanye admits yeezus isn't digestible and promises a better album this year

It took a few listens but Yeezus was quality. That last minute or so of "I Am A God" always has me I even ended up liking "Hold My Liquor" too. I will agree if anyone thinks "Bound" is I hate that song - has no place on the album and should have been a bonus cut or something.

Yeezus is a quality release. Sonically, it's a far out hip hop album. The arrangements, the sounds, the production, a lot of thought went into it. It wasn't a miss smash of crap that most hip hop albums are today ( with exception of Drake and j cole and Kendrick of course. Nas too) but hard headed hip hop fans never gave it a chance. Lyrically, kanye isn't saying much in terms of subject matter but how it's presented is interesting. Songs aren't just 16 hook 16 hook. They are musical landscapes. Like my favorite cut is "I'm In It" because it starts one way: slow and sensual then you hear my man go off and the beat speeds up. It's just moving. The music moves. It moves. Yeezus is great. It's even epic in concert.

I feel the same way about I'm in it.... When they reggae toasting/chanting came on and the beat flipped... You described it perfectly, these songs actually sound like compositions, which is hard to do in hop hop...

Art is in the eye of the beholder. You mite be willing to pay $40M for a Warhol out of fear of looking like you "dont get it". That doesnt necessarily make it art to any and everybody.

Yeezus was too progressive for most people. nikkas wanna hustle backwards instead of exploring new territory and touching different sonic avenues. The ironic part was that this album had a lot of lyrics that would pertain to them in regards to racism and consumerism, I would say much more than his previous albums.

So I just got back from the Yeezus show. I'm not sure if he does the same rants at every stop, but tonight he was going on about how there's haters and dreamers, and how haters, among others should SHUT THE fukk UP. Then he said "fukk Charlemagne, fukk Sway", because (paraphrasing) they've never accomplished anything. Also he admitted that Yeezus wasn't "digestible" and he promised that the next album was going to be a "miracle". I believe it's been convered how fukking crazy that show is, so all I'll say is believe the hype.

No it was a stupid question. You can't make it to the top of the fashion world on your own, no matter how much money you got. Sway tried to relate it to his fashion brand, and the two aren't comparable. Sway's happy to play in the D-League; Kanye's trying to make it to the NBA, and with that he needs other investors.

It seems like you got some kinda beef with Yeezus. Something you should talk to a therapist about.
