You really believe this?
He's nothing like Elon musk..
Seriously..just no

Elon Musk Explains the Genius of Kanye West

Kanye West would be the first person to tell you he belongs on this list. The dude doesn’t believe in false modesty, and he shouldn’t. Kanye’s belief in himself and his incredible tenacity—he performed his first single with his jaw wired shut—got him to where he is today. And he fought for his place in the cultural pantheon with a purpose. In his debut album, over a decade ago, Kanye issued what amounted to a social critique and a call to arms (with a beat): “We rappers is role models: we rap, we don’t think.” But Kanye does think. Constantly. About everything. And he wants everybody else to do the same: to engage, question, push boundaries. Now that he’s a pop-culture juggernaut, he has the platform to achieve just that. He’s not afraid of being judged or ridiculed in the process. Kanye’s been playing the long game all along, and we’re only just beginning to see why.

Musk, an engineer and entrepreneur, is the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla Motors.

Kanye West Talks Hope for Humanity's Future

He has known of and spoke about Musk for a long time. I myself first heard of him around 5 years ago when one of his companies was a client of the firm I was at at the time. His creativity and desire to push boundaries with space and electric cars in a way that was very different from Steve Jobs and others of that ilk. There was a reason I specifically said Musk. If you guys don't see it, feel free to have your own opinion, but don't think talking shyt and putting up smileys means anything. It doesn't. Just like being upset at what the next man does.

Yeah but Elon is an actual genius and Kanye is . ...

I read the Time 100 where Martha Stewart also heaped praise on Kim Kardashian.

Smart marketing on the part of Time magazine.

You know what makes me really sad reading Elon heap praise on Kanye? The fact that we don't have any real prominent black scientist at this point to heap praise on.

All we got is a delusional rapper.

That article made me sad tbh. ..

LOL. Cheer up bro. It's an old article and neither of those dudes affect you in real life. But as far as the genius word being thrown around, Genius means someone possessing "exceptional intellectual or creative power or other natural ability." and I think Ye qualifies under that meaning as an actual genius similar to Musk. Additionally, Kanye is one of the most influential people of our time. If he is using his influence to try and get things done. More power to him. I wish he would speak more on certain topics and less on his fashion brand and sex life but hey, maybe that's how he spends his days. IDK. He has this theory on fashion and classism which is interesting but I haven't looked into it enough to give an informed opinion.

As far as black scientists, I mean theres Neil Tyson, Lonnie Johnson, & George Carruthers. But we have a long way to go. STEM isn't just about the degree. It's also about the research you do afterwards, and unfortunately I doubt many minorities have the same opportunity and access to do the great research of the times.

Exactly.

Im not sure why average people that work 9 to 5's and live an average life get so worked up by people like Kanye, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jordan, etc...
Do you really expect an artist or someone that is performing at a extremely high level to behave just like you?

its a silly expectation.
