Never ending cycle of him putting out crap designs and people talking about it being shyt… then it selling out completely. :francis:
every big name designer be getting away with this shyt :mjlol: me and my boys were talking about how Lo has fallen off so bad cus their designs today are all garbage compared to the late 80s and 90s. once you established you get by off your name and legacy.

ye lucky we in this hypebeast era cus no way this shyt should be flying like it is.

I don't know if it's people's dislike of Kanye or they don't know clothing because that's not a hoodie you'll find at Walmart. It's a very well designed piece. There's other brands doing oversized hoodies but Ye's has better details and the materials look heavier.

This what you mean?:picard:

You played yourself. In an attempt to deepthroat Kanye, you try to post an old ass picture of a 15 year old style. At least find current shyt or go on the actual website. No need to shyt on an entire brand because you have hurt feelings. What kinda soft ass shyt is that?

This isn't the Gap version but it's the same silhouette:

I like the look and fit but I'm not paying Hypebeast prices.

There are literally hypebeast prices. You can literally get a 100% cotton hoodie for $40.

Hypebeasts don't love it if it's retail prices. The hoodies will be $300 resell as they already sold out and that's what generates hype.

$90 is not expensive for a hoodie when I just said Gap has hoodies for $60. You could literally have gotten Marbury basketball sneakers for $20 but people spent $150 retail on J's. Name any garment and you can find a cheaper version. Don't know why it's an issue when Ye's name elevates the price a bit more. Polo hoodies can go for $168 but who's telling bringing up cotton hoidies for $40?:mjpls:

Relax. I'm not familiar with the brand and the pictures that showed up on Google images when I searched for "Roots Athletics hoodie" were just basic hoodies with Roots graphics not what you just posted. I obviously wasn't looking for letterman jackets. Haven't seen the brand in any stores to speak to the quality so I'll take your word for it.

They're still standard hoodies in terms of shape/cut and I don't wear anything with graphics or obvious branding so that's not for me. I don't own any hoodies (and I have a lot of them) cut like the YZY one so I'd prefer it over something standard :manny:

I'm not even buying the hoodie just respecting the design.

Your example doesn't work here because you can't tell the difference between a Yeezy hoodie and a $40 hoodie you can get at H&M. You can tell the difference between Marburys and Jordans.

If Gap charges $60 for a lightweight hoodie and $90 for a collaborative design that's heavier with better materials it's not a flagrant bump in price. It's consistent with their pricing model. Uniqlo does the same thing. Nike does the same thing with Off White. Collabs are priced higher partly for the name, partly for the construction. You're paying a premium. None of this is uncommon.

People said Kanye should make his products affordable.

He's dropped the price on Adidas yeezy and Gap Yeezy to levels similar to premium Nike products and cheaper than Ralph.

They still hating.

thry make hoodies without logos as well…. The cut of his hoodie is terrible man. I can appreciate a simple goodie but these really look weak.

but they will sell out and the hype will do the rest. Make something hard to find and then people will want it more…even if it’s crap.

it’s not about the price for me. But I’m also not going to buy something that’s inferior for more money.

I will pay for quality, not hype. Nikon’s has been able to tell me what makes these hoodies desirable besides hype.
