From what I've seen it has nothing to do with race of people. It's the type of occasion.
If he's at a hiphop morning show, VMA, BBC hiphop show and these type of events he'll speak freely. If he's on a show where the average watcher is a 48 year old woman, he'll respect that fact. Perhaps you act the same when you are at dinner with your grandparents, if you are at a college after party with 18 year old bytches and if you are playing madden with your mans...
