From my understanding: Drake commented on Yeezus off-the-record. Sure, his opinion may still be true ... but as a journalist, you have a responsibility to be honest and find the truth on the record. Printing stuff a source said off-the-record is just about the biggest no-no in the reporting game, aside from slander/misinformation.
