By the way...

When Kanye is talking about 'Cons' was talking to him about honor at the end, he is talking about the rapper Conscenquence who is Q-Tip's cousin. Kanye/Cons are very cool with and have numerous songs together.

Consequence is on the song Spaceship off of Kanyes first album Dropout, and he's also on Late Registration (Kanyes 2nd album)... I forget what song. So he really does know Phife and Tip and them personally... he wasn't just talking to be talking.

Not to sound like an a$$hole but yeah we all know that. At least anyone that has listened to Ye from the beginning.

I do, you do... but there are people that don't follow Tribe, Kanye, or Chicago rap but fk with the booth cause they listen to Drake or wanna see what antics Azelia Banks is into, or they think Janel Monae is pretty.
:yeshrug:

Those people's idea of Kanye West is a guy who likes to interrupt where he isn't wanted and speak his mind out of pocket.
So I just am making sure everyone knows that he isn't just hoping on stage speaking on something he doesn't know about.
He really goes back with Tribe, in particular Q-Tips' cousin Consequence on a IRL personal level, so him talking about Phife isn't so much one famous person commenting on another, but moreover there is some substance there.

Thats all.

Wait was he talking about Paul Rosenberg (Eminem's lawyer/manager) or Peter Rosenberg (Hot 97)?

Props to Kanye. He didn't outright say it but you could tell he was basically saying this is a room full of legends and most of them are broke. Meanwhile the executives are living it up. Obviously some blame has to be placed on rappers who made bad financial decisions+sampling laws but still. Our legends are broke and when they die no one outside the culture gives a fukk. Kanye is right, Phife will get a 5 second mention at the Grammys and that will be the end of it...
He was talking about Peter Rosenberg. He called him Paul at the end to son him.. I don't think Paul was even there.

Why this nikka funeral leaking like a album though

Not the full thing but

I get what Kanye was talking about...
...but thats just a lesson on the fact that it pays to be an executive...

Truth is...most artist are replaceable :yeshrug:

Everyone wants to say how much of a pioneer Phife is now...but how many of those people bought his solo work?
How many people held him down when he was sick?
How come when I met his mother about 11 years ago she had no good words for Q Tip?

Entertainment is a phony ass game.

Just listening to Juan Epstean podacst and Rosenberg explains the whole story.

I think Ye might've been a bit harsh :pachaha: He called out a bunch of legends from different genres (Bob Marley, Beatles, Led Zeplin, Marvin Gaye etc) and said they're the kind of music you use to explain music to people.

Listen from like 38 mins

I've never listened to Led Zeplin though ha
