Design a line of shoes for one of the most prestigious brands of all times with 160 years of history (LV). He presents his shyt at the most prestigious fashion shows and they are attended by all the ballers in the fashion industry. What do you mean let? Do you mean that LVMH should just give him Dior for free and rename it Kanye West? Puffy even with his ugly ass clothes won the CFDA. The other winners are people like Kors, Varvatos, Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren, Helmut Lang, Thom Browne and on these dudes are the top of the top. Do you mean that type of letting?


I don't understand what you mean, who is given shyt? Kanye just started designing males clothes, his first attempt? Bankrolled by Adidas. Usually people work for years, go to university, suck dikks and on and then they won't get their own brand, they get to work their way up the ladder until they run a brand. Olivier Rousteing is one if not the hottest designer, he's black and he's under 30. Puff won American fashion designer of the year and everyone else that won that price are legendary designers. He wasn't "given" anything, except a boost by the council cause he obviously didn't deserve that price. And there's several black designers, not so many CD's.

The dudes I know either climbed from the bottom to the top OR built their own shyt over decades (like Ralph Lauren, Gianni Versace, Yves Saint Laurent etc. all of who worked at other companies first and pushed their lines from small scale to major over decades). While Kanye came in the game and got his own LV sneaker line with little to no experience.

4. What level are you talking about? What is small? CFDA?




A lot of these fashion houses are owned by multinational multi billion dollar public corporations. They care about the bread, they don't care if the designer is white, black, Chinese or whatever. As I said nearly all of them have worked their way from the bottom to the top, I've never been to a fashion school but I don't know too many black dudes that have. I don't know a single black dude that works for a fashion house either. I can't really see the problem with the business. I can see problems in the entertainment business where a lot of black people work or aspire to but are Never C-suite. Now that's a real problem. Kanye not getting a billion bucks, not so much.
