What does Dre have to do with Kanye aside from Kanye admittedly biting Dre's drums from "Xxplosive"?
Kanye still has yet to reach Dre's level of production especially with Kanye's current production credits reading like Diddy's circa '97. Understandably, Dre uses co-producers, but there's three or more producers listed w/ Kanye credited with additional production on credits these days. To top it off, he's not even manually creating beats like that anymore (drum programming at the very least). Dr. Dre still at least does the drum patterns and someone else is on the keyboards, guitars, and other instruments.

very good question and i appreciate you justifying your stance. we need more of that in the world. it's not that mr. west and mr. young are to be compared as artists because, as you said, one of them wasn't really an artist per se. i'm referring specifically to kanye's ear as a producer and to the fact that he is/was 'influenced' by many other rappers.
hmmm the only thing that is going to solidify yeezys legendary status beyond anyone who has ever done rap is album of the year.....i cant call it with this one but i dont think this is it.

Just saw it. Yes, distorted rapping some dumb shyt over an old Marilyn Manson track, that's a classic
I liked Kanye when he was on that soul tip. College Dropout is one of my favorite albums ever and Late Registration is as well. His production back then was unfukkwitable.. Diamonds..
But after those two albums he fell off to me. His new style he been running with is weird as fukk. nikka trying to hard to be an "artist". Just make dope songs nikka

Hopefully this actually drops in June, it'll be the first major rap album in a long time to actually drop on the first date given. Kanye is 4/4 for rap albums, hyped for this.
