During a press conference Wednesday (April 9) at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Common announced his Common Ground Foundation would be collaborating with Kanye West’s charity organization, Donda’s House Inc. and the Chicago Urban League in an initiative to supply employment opportunities to the community, known as The Chicago Youth Jobs Collaborative.

I understand people suggesting that he should do it by himself because i used to feel the same way but after thinking about..

In the long run its a better plan to collect these multi-million dollar checks from companies while learning how they operate behind the scenes. Then create something of his own.

Saying all of this guessing (hoping) that Ye's end goal is to go indie of course

He shouldve been doing that with the nike deal. Lets call kanye out for what he is. He wants someone else to do all the heavy lifting so no one ever see how weak he is. Thats why he was in paris begging for acceptance. When Jordan put the 10s(believe its the 10s, the ones with no check) out when him and nike was having issues and they flew off shelves Nike knew they had to break him off something serious. Kanye has the money to make shoes, he's just wants to piggyback off someone else to the top of the mountain but those people understand he knows nothing about what he's trying to do so they take the money.

He shouldve been doing that with the nike deal. Lets call kanye out for what he is. He wants someone else to do all the heavy lifting so no one ever see how weak he is. Thats why he was in paris begging for acceptance. Well Kanye said he tried and failed (wasted 10mil in process) so he's obviously not ready yet. Also mentioned that it was hard to stay relevant in music while doing the clothing on his own.

So why not keep music the main focus for as long as he can and still do clothing with help... Then when music is finished he will have some momentum established in fashion to build his own brand.

If he doesn't plan on ever going indie then I agree with you but that remains to be seen.
