Honestly man, I'll always say this, but I was a huge Kanye fan in 2001/2002, just as a producer, and I remember the first little mixtape raps he did on Jigga That, etc. I will never stop being amazed that he went from an underground beatmaker to literally being one of the most famous people on earth. It's just hard to comprehend.

Yeah, Dame at one point was planning on doing a Kanye West Chronic/Soul Survivor/1st Infantry type album, with all the Rocafella dudes rapping on all Kanye's beats. Kanye would've rapped on there too, but the showcase was definitely meant to be for Jay, Cam, Beans, Bleek, Free, etc.

I think Kanye even said somewhere that Dame was like "If my verses sucked he was just gonna erase them and put Cam'ron verses instead."
