Do you listen to verses or do you just skim through em?
Jay is talking about never letting the game/fans down, Kanye is talking about not letting down people he knows personally, and I guess Ivy mixes not letting down God and his people in general.

All three very much in place, Jay second was probably half a freestyle though

Spike Lee and Muhammad Ali are the only ones i can think of
Muhammad Ali sure, but they ultimately got him when he was forced to sell his name. Plus with his Parkinson’s, he could no longer be that voice. Muhammad Ali died in 2016, yet all of the clips you see of him really speaking out are from the 60s and 70s.

I probably should’ve been more specific. I was mainly thinking of crossover superstars. Not to minimize Spike Lee’s accomplishments, but he’s one of those celebrities white people pretend to be outraged about, but they know he doesn’t really have that type of impact and he’s not a threat.

i think one of the Never Let Me Down Hov verses was recorded sometime during Blueprint 2 era. It was originally used on the Hovi Baby remix. The last one was definitely recorded around the black album sessions.

Cause Kanye's shyt is known for being strictly solo and Jay wasn't the person he spent the most time in the studio with. For all we know this could've been a song made for Jay as the video above shows only a Jay verse. And J Ivy was the last one to lay down his bars.

Dudes with these delusional conspiracy theories.
