I felt like he had a point about MBDTF not being nominated for album of the year...hell that album was the BEST reviewed album I've ever witnessed. Every publication/blog/critic whom I read a review were jizzing themselves over it, it was almost the same amount of hype that the last Hip Hop Album Of The Year nominated album (Speakerboxx/Love Below) got minus Hey Ya. There really was NO reason whatsoever that album didn't deserve that award....
Other than that, I'm getting tired of the nikkas rants like we're all supposed to just "understand" the "genius" of this nikka rocking skirts on stage

I'll start by saying that Kanye is a crybaby, which he should be slapped for by one of his yesmen. BUT
1. Do you think people announce cats like "Here is BET hiphop award winning Kanye West. Or "The Soul Train nominated album MBDTF"
.2. Kanye cares about the highest awards, since he plays in the highest leagues.
The committee includes a couple of brothers, the first awards given included both 3 genres out of which 2 were mainly black genres Jazz and R&B, in the females genre the top 10 is 8 black women and the most nominated is black as well.
3. To conclude I don't think everyone sees race in everything, as yourself.
Some might just see that a Grammy weighs more than any other award. Grammy Awards is an American award show for the "greatest" musicians in the world, the ones you mentioned are not for the greatest musicians, not even for the greatest black musicians but for the greatest african american musicians. And I don't know if you know what's going on in the entertainment business but Kanye is not and has never been limited to the afro american community.

Grammy is considered the highest honor for music. Like the Oscar is for movie and the Tonys are for broadway.
