This album is real polarizing to me, I mean it's not my favorite but it's not my least favorite from him and I wonder if he is genuine about adhering to the christian faith and really walking the walk or is he just talking the talk.

I mean I love the intro with the choir he assembled and the beat on Follow God is hard but it is Ye's rapping that isn't hard enough on that song imo. The album doesn't really get great until Everything We Need on down and the last song is amazing but it's way too short. Another thing is Water sounded way better to me live at Coachella for some reason and though Ye's rapping on it is cool I like the version without it much better.

Also as many said already, the album needed more drums and that would have took this album to a whole other height. Me personally I'm pissed he decided against putting more drums:damn:who knows though, maybe people will remix it.

I think it's corny he tried to latch onto Chances wave after black folks got mad at him.

Breh, you're acting like his biggest song wasn't Jesus Walks when he was brand new in the game, and Chance's "wave", as far as the Christian raps, started on Ultralight Beam off Ye's album.

Ye been on the Christian stuff from jump and he spelled out his plans like 7 years ago, but nobody was paying attention..

This is from 2013, when Chance was spittin' Acid Rap... Life of Pablo came out 3 years later...

I got to appricate Kanye's PR, this is just a cold examination not a real support. I dont buy this gimmick at all, but it's a good gimmick and refreshes his relevance. Almost no one been such awide character in hip hop, you got to respect that PR.

Kanye came out as that humble fragile backpacker, became that ego buster and Taylor swift shyt, moved to depression heart broken, to crazyness, to religious. That's a fukking wide character. Other rappers are maybe consistent but mostly remain the same dude with the same content...

I think this album is a ploy to get back in black people's favor since like 90 percent of us are religious in some way, shape or form

Even R Kelly dropped a gospel album after dropping that sextape. Then continued to make more tapes after beating the case
