Apparently here's what happened:

I'm from Belgium, the police responded to the media about the incident and explained what happened in detail. Apparently a neighbour in Wijnegem called the police because they saw two masked men (Kanye and security guard) and thought it was suspicious. For context, pretty sure it's illegal to be fully masked in public here. A patrol officer then pulled up and asked Kanye to remove his mask in Dutch, obviously ye didn't do that because he didn't understand. The cop thought Kanye wasn't cooperating, so the cop removed the gun from his holster and pointed it in a 45 degree angle towards the ground (low ready position). Kanye removed his mask because he realized it was serious, the cop then asked Kanye to identify himself as he didn't recognize ye. Kanye or his security guard then said something about the Kardashians, at this point the cop figured out who he was (not kidding). Kanye had recently purchased a residence in Wijnegem but the cop was unaware of this fact. The cop then let them go under the condition that they kept their masks off.
