crawl bbefore you walk before you run..

one nikka cannot do that much for such a large issue. You're saying Kanye should be the one fixing those issues but to invest thaat much would dig into how much of his fortune. And then what? Nobody is in a position to do anything.

You want to know who should be helping Chiraq? Walgreens. McDonalds. Allstate. Sears if they werent such a mess. Chicagoan corporations. But why wont they? We know why.

A rapper cant do shyt for no damn community in the long run and Kanye is trying to transcend rap. Jay-Z aint even that big man, think of the bigger picture.Thats what your P&G's and Coca Cola's are for, your fortune five hundreds. They are the ones with the real power to actually do that large scale shyt

Am I saying that Kanye will help if in that position. shyt...who knows. But the faith is def there
I fukk with you my nikka but this post was terrible. You sound like Kanye speaking through a stan.

breh these nikkas need to rewatch the interview. Kanye hit the nail on the head with that worn out urban line comment.

Fubu
Akademiks
Artful Dodger
LRG
next up is Diamond supply

etc etc etc

they come and they go.
They come and they go because most of them are cheap Chinese sweatshop products, if Kanye wants a brand with longevity, make a quality product consistently, build a reliable market base and wait 100 years, LV didn't start off as an aspirational brand, it was a high quality product first. Baby steps man.

Pac got killed for fukking with the wrong crips, lets stop equating him with dudes like Malcolm X, Martin Luther King.

And yet this "crip" happened to somehow scare the thousands of would-be witnesses into not cooperating?

And as far as being revolutionary in his thoughts and ideas and expressing them, why shouldnt he be compared to Malcom and MLK? Just as the man in my sig should. None of these people are gods because as you can see they came and went. Nonetheless they spoke the truth that went against the grain that we call SOCIETY. For that, they get props from me. :yeshrug: Nothing more nothing less....

Everywhere...You never there.
Char and Kanye both had some points

Different levels.

:salute: to Char for trying to reinject the struggle back in him... at times misguidedly...

...and :salute: to Ye for trying...trying... to articulate the level he's on as an artist/businessman and the challenges that come with that, and how he's trying to use the level in which he's reached to change things... I think his heart is in the right place, it's just being kinda compromised right now, and he needed someone to check him, and help him recognize his own power.

Char soul/aura checked that nicca in a sense...and again, at times misguidedly because his ego and :stylin:got in the way, but it needed to be done.

I think they both came from a good place, but it just got twisted a little. Ye handled Char's over-assertiveness really well 'cause he really coulda got fire slapped out that him when he told Ye to shut up. And been justified.

I don't care who it is,superstar or no superstar. Kanye aint the first nikka to be a bandwagon activist, become revolutionary or play a race card when he was having difficulty advancing or felt discriminated against by higher powers.

Was it you I asked for three celebrities/rappers/atheletes that are speaking on any RELEVANT SOCIAL topics? I dont mean jumping on the "trayvon" bandwagon or anyother topic the media throws out there to keep us distracted, but relevant issues such as private prisons? ANYONE?

100. I misread your post at first so Im glad I didnt hit post lol. But yea I agree. "SUPPLY KNOWLEDGE" :blessed: Exactly. Money works to an extent but you have to change mindsets as well.

As a fellow African, Im sure you know that Africa has alot of resources. So all that has to be done is for the Africans to be shown how to use these resources for their benefit. But this is a whole other story that goes thru the influence and power foreign nations have there. Maybe another thread
people dont realize how deep it goes fam.

what good is having tons and tons of gold, valuable minerals and energy underground when the infrastructure isnt even there to extract it / use it as needed. What good is it when you have corrupt people letting the white man from Barrick Gold, Vale and all these other companies come in and extract these resources just so they can keep a small cheque. The Saudi Arabians are doing it the right way. THE fukkING QATARI too. We need to wake up.

Charlamagne the man gets props too. For checking Kanye like other people were scared to do. You aint gotta be disrespectful but lets try to get some insight out of him. Not just cosign him even when he rambles and jumps topic to topic.

so because he's pro-black he also has to be a racist? considering what he does it makes much more sense that would choose those guys.

That's exactly what he's saying. HE AINT shyt YET. Hes just another rich rapper thats a pawn to really rich white people that run the game. HES TRYNA BE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT RUN THE GAME, FOR THE NEXT BLACK DUDE IN HIS PLACE.

If u cant see how that would amount to a win for black ppl i dont know what to tell u...

Its all about resources and connections, we need those to help each other get put on and grow and build real wealth that will last generations.

I never said he had to be racist. What are you deriving that from?

I believe his quoting of Martin Luther King Jr. was to try to get Black people on his side.

If he's a rich rap millionaire pawn what makes you think he can't be a rich rap billionaire pawn?

You still haven't shown me how Kanye becoming richer is a win for Black people? Explain in detail how.

Kanye is doing grrrrreat for a guy who never graduated or had a dad.

Remember, rappers get paid to TALK. Few rappers center their careers around actually doing things. But they talk about doing stuff. Talk a really good game.

Seeking God is a good idea for 'ye (and for everyone else). Kanye's mom is dead, the Kardashians are snakes, and North West is too young for intelligent convo. So........God it is.

He did/still does have a dad.

Harry Belafonte comes to mind, Denzel finds ways to talk about race in Hollywood, but never in a whiny 'they're picking on me type way', Nas, a lot of dudes like Nnamdi Asomugha, Dikembe, Hakeem tend to be well versed on issues relating to Africa.

this is honestly it.
Dude wants to do a lot, and sees the hurdles in his way. He gets rally passionate about it and people dont understand why he's acting like that.

Most folks think like a worker bee...happy to have what they have, and dont ask questions.
Which is fine, but dont get in another mans way.

Agree my yout..
