KanYe is clearly doing this to try and get his old fans back. As I said in my "Yeezus" review. "Bound 2" he threw us a bone. He saw the criticism he got from the Hip Hop community. Sure all the magazines and publications was calling 'Yeezus" groundbreaking Classic and who knows maybe Hip Hop will forgive it down the road. But those Magazines don't define Hip Hop culture.

Hip Hop told Ye' "Yeezus was only OK" which is why this will be his lowest selling album of his career. Not only did Hip Hop fans pretty much reject but even the Pop fans didn't grab hold. It went Gold so Ye still does have a core fanbase that will stay with him but both "New Slaves" and "Black Skinheads" didn't really pop off though I liked those songs but they weren't great. Again we liked some songs but most of the songs were weak. But "Bound 2" was vintage Ye'. I could of easily been on "College Dropout" or "Late Registration".

nah fukk record sales. YEEZUS is a classic album give a fukk what YOU or "hip hop" thinks.

kanyes private life made public is the reason why this album flopped sales wise... the presentation for this album could have been executed better..im not even a kanye fan like that..i dont like kim kardashian and i think kanye at time is contrived and over bearing... he also bearing alot crossoer hate from the kardashian hate mob which im apart of... but this album here is dope

Hip hop can be closed minded. It was a good album to me. People didn't grasp it right away because they had a pre-conception that he was going to make another College Dropout. It seems people were just tolerating Cruel Summer and some of the other recent kanye work thinking CD 2 was on the way. But Yeezus is natural progression from My dark blah blah fantasy.

Performing on SNL and having your music projected in major cities the WORLD isn't promotion?

:lupe:

#newrules :troll:

the majority of folks didn't even know he was doing new music on SNL when that happened. also, the billboard projects was a one time thing. it's totally different than doing a video or getting ur new single played on the radio.

yeah it's really telling that people prop that up as the best song on Yeezus

I gave it multiple chances, but the screaming, incoherent mumbling, forced emotion, lack of focus on what the song is actually about, i just wasnt impressed at all

If that's the best song on the album like so many people say that speaks for itself on the quality of the project

It was the "no promotion" promotion, unless you didn't have the Internet you knew Yeezus was dropping, even the slightest rumor was front page news on every music blog and website
