By the time it feels like you're getting to the heart of it, this album's already over.
That might be more a blessing than a curse since I feel Kanye's albums feel bloated from all the singing/groanin/talking bridges/hooks etc. that he adds to his songs.
Production is cool. Felt somewhere between Pablo and Daytona, but more Pablo than Daytona.
Lyrically, it's what you'd expect from a Kanye album, although because it's shorter his more introverted lyrics stand out more so its seems better...
I do like him talking about his fear of comeuppance in the form of possible daughter drama in the future, but I still felt like it was essentially his version of Nas' Daughters, even though it sounds different (and Nas' version is better imo)
The spoken word in the beginning didn't really do it at all for me. I get it, but nah...
I'll give it a few more spins but this won't stay in rotation more than a week or two.
