Kanyes endorsements of Trump are taken out of context, and he should not be shamed the way he has.

I can't hijack control of his brain, but I believe Kanye has been imploring us to move our thinking beyond the status quo to become more independent and critical. Perhaps Kanye wants us to move beyond the traditional Democrat vs Republican paradigm and realize that both parties are guilty of shackling the black condition.

Movements like BLM have been commercialized and used as tactical talk tracks against the GOP for up and coming candidates. I'm not saying it's an inherently bad thing, and it's likely better than the alternative.

However, I am trying to empathize with what I believe Kanyes true intentions are. He came into hip hop with a tight fitted pink polo, backpack, and frenetic personality. The game has changed since, in large part to him, and I think we would be remiss to say that Kanye should fall in line. For him to do so would be to betray his essence as an artist.

I can't excuse everything he has done, but I do think he is playing an important part in shifting the way we think whether as a villain or hero.

How many records at $9.99 is that?
It was easier to measure physical albums impact...well, iTunes as well. I knew 10Xplatinum or more was an elite product and a pop culture phenom.

So basically shorter 20-something minute projects make it easier to get more spins which inflates streaming numbers which inflate album numbers. Sounds about as crooked a business as I figured it was.

This is a dope project. Really strong effort. If you’ve ever considered yourself a Ye fan this is worth checking out.

How does that logic work? More tracks = more spins.

If someone listens a to a 7 song album 3 times it's 21 spins. If they listen to a 20 song album 3 times it's 60 spins.

Ye is actually doing the opposite of what everyone else is doing.
