College Dropout...his “wack lyrics and punchlines.” He should’ve just made a feature album like Dre did for The Chronic

Late Registration...people complaining that it wasn’t as good as College Dropout (the irony)

Graduation...“too short” and people hated that he spent so much time trying to perfect “Stronger.” Put the wrong “Homecoming” on the album. Too much synth.

MBDTF...”Power is a wack first single” and too many guest appearances on this album.

Yeezus...”Only good songs are Blood on the Leaves and Bound 2.” “On Sight “

TLOP...all over the place, rushed.

I said when it got released. I’m not saying this album is anywhere close to his earlier ones, but even those now universally praised albums had people nitpicking about them back then. I definitely remember people saying Kanye’s bars were weak, even though the beats were dope.

Able to give it a couple real listens, It's like his production starts out really good, and I get to envisioning the pocket the beat will settle into, but then he goes in a whole other vibe and direction. Vocal wise, he knows how to use his voice to sound powerful, lyric wise, that's intelligent subject matter, but no intelligent craftmanship. I mean, you could totally tell me Kanye used to have mad ghost writers and nowadays he just doing shyt himself and it actually sounds like it.

100%. And the irony is now people are admitting to liking 808’s and yeezus. This is a dope little EP the only complaint is all that damn talking on the first song and the 25 minuets runtime. He’s never going back to college dropout,

Had no desire to replay anything. Not to say it's trash, there's just nothing worth noting. It's aight. Yeezus and TLOP are easily better than this. I know time usually enhances Kanye albums, but I'm doubting this one.

Kanye confirms that after the TMZ interview he threw all the songs he was working on in the bushes and began to work on the songs that appear on this album



also talks about how he changed his subject matter because of all the criticism he got for the slavery/trump comments.

If you listened to the lyrics of “Wouldnt Leave” he talks about his argument with Kim after that TMZ interview that almost lead to their divorce. Cuz after that TMZ shyt he got very silent on social media and went back to Wyoming and worked on this album.

I have a feeling the original album he intended to release were gonna be in the same lane as “Ye vs. The People” and be filled with MAGA raps

So for him to scrap all that shyt and pretty much make this album in less then a month is pretty

Personally the album is growing on me with each listen. I first I was pretty ehhh about it on first listen because i listened from the live stream. When I finally heard it in CDQ i was like

Besides a few cringe worthy lines (nothing “Revival” status bad). The album left me satisfied
