Mostly agree here. I might be in the minority in disliking "Violent Crimes" but to each his own.
I'm not the biggest Kanye fan (pre- or post-MAGA), but something i've noticed about music reviews in the past couple years, is that all of these sites- pitchfork, noisey, the ringer, avclub, etc., NEVER BREAK RANK on album reviews? When's the last time you saw one site give a high-profile album a a 4 or 5-star review, and another site give it a 1 or 2? Everybody just gets on board with one opinion and that becomes the narrative for that album/artist for years until it's time to "revisit."
These same people gave Yeezus a 9.5. I personally think Yeezus is his worst album, but if some people prefer Yeezus over ye, that’s cool...their opinion. What I CAN’T comprehend is how some people actually feel like Yeezus is his BEST album...
Yea Cacfork been sucking Kanye off since forever.
Even this review doesn’t add up to the score. You’d think by reading it they woulda gave him a 5 or something.

shyts weak.... I heard what was supposed to be the 4 best songs. I barely remember them and if I never hear them again I will be just fine. And also I didn't hear anything that sounded like it will get radio play so I can go about acting like this album didn't happen with no issues

and none of the songs on this album other than maybe ghost town would even be a top 3 song on yeezus or TLOP.
it's not good, it's not terrible, it's just blehhh, and when you combine the hype kanye gets, you expect more than just blehhh.
it's like lebron having 20/6/5 in a game. for most people it's a good game but for his standards it's not acceptable.

7.1 is still a bit high, I would say that it’s at most a 6/10.
I feel the same way. He has fallen off as an artist.

Am I the only person who is struggling to understand this sudden hype for the 070 Shake person?
Everywhere I go, people are like "Yo, 070 Shake murdered the end of Ghost Town", "This is like Nicki's verse on Monster, she's got next" etc.
I don't fukkin' get it.
After hearing Bobby Brown-jawed Cudi slur through his shyt she comes on and I'm tryna hear what everyone else is hearing but I can't.
