Despite an approving nod from Lou Reed, Kanye West‘s Yeezus has plunged in its second week on the US charts, sustaining the fourth-largest drop in the history of Nielsen SoundScan.

West’s sixth solo album was released on 18 June, debuting at No 1 both in America and the UK.

On 3 July, SoundScan reported that sales had dropped by 80% in its second week – the largest second-week sales drop for any No 1 since Madonna’s MDNA.

That's what happens when Jay-Z ruins your hype :bryan:

It's time you go back to the drawing board Mr.West, take a look in the mirror on who you're REALLY doing this music shyt for and dust your 70s soul records.

:heh: I listened to Yeezus countless times and now I've deleted it off my HD

That album was great. I don't care what any one says. It just wasn't a rap album.

Exactly. Only the super stans came out the first week. Everyone else heard it went :flabbyhov: I was at a BBQ yest and I put on sight on as a troll and literally got :dahell: looks from everyone. He tried to experiment again but failed. Def Jam will now be like "hes some chi-lite vinyl's nikka get back to what you do best"

Either a lot of copies were bought first week by the company, or word of mouth spread that the album was trash. Or both. Neither option would surprise me.

Word of mouth killed this project...Especially in the Black community...

Oh well the critics still love him....They don't buy albums but they write history..
