yeah kanye care about sales enough to make a single for def jam to use. He cared enough to do press. He cared enough to make a college dropout pt.2 or use sped up soul beats. He cared enough to drop in the summer time. :rudy:

Exactly. Only the super stans came out the first week. Everyone else heard it went :flabbyhov: I was at a BBQ yest and I put on sight on as a troll and literally got :dahell: looks from everyone. He tried to experiment again but failed. Def Jam will now be like "hes some chi-lite vinyl's nikka get back to what you do best"

:skip:

Man, why you put on THAT track though. Trollin' for real. That's probably the worst song I've heard from mainstream artist in years.

As a fan I'll admit that's what happens when you get bad word of mouth and no radio singles. At least Def Jam will recoup somewhat from overseas sales and not paying for marketing. Should've at least dropped a CDQ to Black Skinhead or New Slaves a week early like he did with Otis.

Word of mouth killed this project...Especially in the Black community...

Oh well the critics still love him....They don't buy albums but they write history..
:what:

Since when do black people buy records enough to make an impact like this? Breh this album flopped cuz white girls were expecting an album full of Clique, Mercy, etc.

dope album tho :krs:

Older Blacks 30-45 mos def still buy albums (especially from safe artists like Kanye and Drake).. And those were the ones I heard that were most put off by the blasphemy and auto tune...

That's what happens when Jay-Z ruins your hype :bryan:

It's time you go back to the drawing board Mr.West, take a look in the mirror on who you're REALLY doing this music shyt for and dust your 70s soul records.

:heh: I listened to Yeezus countless times and now I've deleted it off my HD
do u always delete albums that has a "countless" replay value??

I'm sure you're right to an extent, some blacks (specifically black women) buy albums. But overall if white people were truly feeling this album it would have done a lot better than the struggle numbers it's doing now. "Struggle numbers" for Kanye at least. Dark Fantasy had a very large appeal, to all demographics. Yeezus is getting critical acclaim but isn't really being felt by people who expected an album full of summer anthems.

I copped an enjoyed it. On sight is dope. Blood on the leaves is epic. Bound 2 is classic Ye. I dunno. I liked it. Alot. I tried to hate it but I couldn't. Gonna play on sight now
