What the hell are you talking about? Jordan never had any magical powers like you think he did. He was looked up to for how he played on the court. No other reason. He became an icon for his basketball ability.

He was influential to the youth making many kids want to play ball and dominate competition like him. But if you're talking influence on black youth culture than yes Iverson is very much in the discussion as one of the most influential trendsetting athletes all time for black youth.

And jordan has way more power now as a billionare businessman and team owner than he ever did when he was simply playing for billionaires.

You disqualify yourself from the conversation you have no clue what you are talking about

Jordan was the most beloved figure in the World at his height, he is not more powerful as a billionaire businessman

you moron, Michael Jordan's word has weight but nowhere near as much as it once did

Michael Jordan's influence is nowhere near what it once was

just stop

No you have no clue on what you are talking about and sound like an idiot. I grew up in the jordan era. Like every other kid we played ball at the playground imitating his moves on the court. Thats all we looked up to him for. Jordan probably inspired half of the nba players in the league right now to play ball. Thats what his influence was. Its not even a question.

And like i said if we are talking just black youth culture.. a guy like iverson arguably had more direct impact on the way we dressed etc...

Stop man, Jordan was bigger than sports, I can't take you serious right now

iverson did not have a direct impact on black youth, Iverson was a black youth and he just dressed how black youth already did

the fact you talking about how iverson dress is has influence, shows you how fukking lost you are on this issue

don't bother replying you live in a fantasy world

I understand the concept of fighting for the community perfectly. What I don't understand or cosign is putting the onus on celebrities. It's weak an bytchmade. Post a link to your youth empowerment program so people here can help you out....................................................................... You're not going to do it because you're full of shyt. You're not running any program(if you do post proof of you running a youth program I'll donate a yard$100). You're just an Internet lame. Save the bullshyt.

I call people c00ns based on what they're doing or what they've done(you do c00n shyt then I call you a c00n). Not for anything that they're not doing. You aren't doing shyt for black people trying spend the next man's money telling him what he should be doing for black people. I've never done that and never will.

Stopped putting it on athletes. Most black people aren't fight for blacks against the systematic injustices. If you're not fighting back then you have shyt to say about what somebody else isn't doing. Community empowerment starts from th ground up not the top down. Stop trying to rationalize your hateful bytchassness.

The thing is not everyone can be like Kareem Abdul Jabbar or Magic Johnson, this is why I would always have respect for them.

I don't have much respect for Michael Jordan or Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Kobe Bryant. But I don't feel the need to go at them cause they are not helping the black community.

Actually, we are starting to realize we gotta start helping ourselves, I more concern in folks getting woke. And that means starting our own movements, instead of worrying about some figure head doing it for us.

Everybody else is getting money. Why is it a crime when a black man is getting money?

Business should never be mixed with social causes. Its either one or the other.

Jordan never made himself out to be anyone's hero.

cuz we are crab in a barrels, other races know that and provide media to those of us to bring our own down.

they allow us to do their dirty work...you don't need CIA bringing brothers down, when we do it better than anyone.

Am I my brother's keeper? :francis:

Thats a question that We ALL need to ask ourselves. Really, if you believe in a higher power, your fate following this life may depend upon your answer.

American/western philosophy teaches us that 'greed is good'.

Jabbar put it perfectly, that HE had to live with that decision.:yeshrug:

Wherever whores go.....
So we gonna ignore he gave Spike Lee money to finish a movie

We gonna ignore the fact it's rich white people who buy his jerseys and paid for those expensive seat. His products are marketed to everyone.

So we gonna ignore he gave away the $10mm he won in a lawsuit to charity
