TIM DUNCAN HAD GREATER CONSISTANCY, KOBE HAD GREATER HIGHS AND LOWER LOWS.. THIS IS INDICITAVE OF CIRCUMSTANCE, NOT INDIVIDUAL GREATNESS. PLAYER FOR PLAYER, KOBE IS WAY ABOVE DUNCAN AND CONSTANTLY MADE DUNCAN
AND THE SPURS HIS BIITCH IN THE PLAYOFFS /THREAD

But

Same amount of rings, more FMVPs, and more MVPs?

BY THAT RATIONALE, BILL RUSSELL = GOAT N WE ALL KNOW THAT AINT TRUE

Except Russel played in an entirely different era of basketball.

Kobe and Duncan can be better compared because they played in the same era and Duncan has more worthwhile achievements. More FMVPs, more MVPs, and same amount of championships so he obviously plays better when it matters.

Kobe was able to win 5 titles and reach the finals 7x. 4 nba finals in a row.

Second on the all time scoring list.

18 time all-star

1x season mvp

2x finals mvp

I don't know honestly. I gotta think about this some more.:patrice:

Edit: Imma go with Kobe. I think if you combine Kobe`s individual success with his team success I think he'll edge out Duncan as far as having an overall better career.

MAYBE IF U DIDNT COMPLETELY IGNORE THE FACT THAT DUNCAN PLAYED ON GREAT TEAMS FOR THE DURATION OF HIS CAREER, UD HAVE A POINT .. DUNCAN HAS THE BETTER ACCOLADES BECAUSE HE PLAYED ON BETTER TOP TIER TEAMS CONSISTENTLY .. KOBE HAS THE BETTER ACHIEVMENTS, HOLDS MORE RECORDS, GREATER STATISTICAL MARKS, CUZ HE IS SIMPLY PUT THE FAR BETTER INDIVIDUAL TALENT .. U THINK PRIME KOBE WOULDNT AT THE VERY LEAST THREEPEAT ON THE POPOVICH SPURS? STOP THAT

Its completely possible

Best two players of the post-Jordan Bulls era in terms of accomplishment at least. Both have equal rings so its close. Kobe's had better indivudal scoring performances but Duncan probably had more consistently good seasons and MVPs

Its a toss up and it depends on what position you think is more valuable, y'all surprise the Captain would rep a frontcourt player?
