In DMX's book he talks about how Lyor came to his hood to meet with DMX. DMX's jaw was wired shut from getting jumped and he still rapped and rapped so hard he broke the wires in his jaw. DMX talked about having mad respect for Lyor for coming through the hood by himself. I also read Bump J from Chicago talking bout Lyor rolling up to southside of Chicago by himself to meet with Bump J in bumps hood. Lyor been down with Russell since the rush management days when real street dudes were in the industry.
