I'm just saying if your comment would make exactly as much sense in a Bachelorette thread, it's probably time to take a break from the game.

You mean the private messages where you've been invited to attempt to actually kick my head off my neck and had nothing to say other than more jokes?

But I've realized I shouldn't be picking fights with AARP women who somehow still bleed monthly.

Oh that’s what you were doing! I’ve never read them so I would’ve never have known. Oh so you wanted to fight over some casual potshots from a nikka you’ve never seen in life?? :russ::russ::russ: Tells me everything I need to know about you cowboy. I’m sowwy man

None of that makes Kareem anything you said. The Lakers are wrong for not having giving him a statue, not liking modern basketball is justifiable, and he loves Curry's impact.

It's not about effusive praise. He deserves a statue.

He did deserve a statue. This was the problem (I should have quoted this part in my initial post)

A source within the Lakers organization said, in response to Abdul-Jabbar's claim, the team notified him months ago they were going to erect a statue for him next season.

"I don't get what he is doing," the source said to ESPNLosAngeles.com.

The relationship between the Lakers and Abdul-Jabbar has been uneasy seemingly since the six-time NBA MVP retired in 1989. While former players such as Johnson have been given a stake in the team, front-office positions and head-coaching opportunities, Abdul-Jabbar said he didn't receive much help from the team after he retired.

"When you look at what (owner Jerry Buss) did for Earvin and what he did for me, big disparity there," Abdul-Jabbar said. "I just think that it's a mindset that's taken over in the organization that I'm of minimal value to the organization and they're doing other things. They just don't seem to want to include me in the way they have included other people."

The 2nd bolded is what he's really mad about, it's not really the statute that he did get that next season. Kareem is very jealous of how younger players that he perceives is placed over him. Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Lebron James, etc.

Him not liking modern basketball, but then really liking a modern player, Stephen Curry, and how he changed the game is dumb. It's like me saying my favorite player in the NFL is Lamar Jackson, but I dislike all scrambling QBs/read-option offenses. That sounds hypocritical.

I take your casual potshots that would never be let off in person as serious as you take the negs you keep bytching about.

SAYS THE GROUPIE WHOS A FAN OF MEN OVER TEAMS

I'm a fan of good basketball players, not of men. I don't obsess over how they look or how they dress or what they do when they're not playing basketball I'm not like you.

Having a shrine to a man in your room. Buying gear to associate yourself with that man. Watching a movie/show/interview cause that man was in it even though he's not playing basketball. Paying money or waiting hours in line in order to get close to the man. Talking about a man on the forum like you were writing a love letter.

That's all shyt that I've literally never done. But I'm pretty sure you've done all of it. Unlike you, I'm a fan of the game. You're a fan of a corporate entity and the personalities in it, not of the game. It might as well be professional wrestling to you the way you talk about this shyt.

TELLING U ONE PLAYER HAS A FEMININE AURA AND THE OTHER IS A KILLER HAS NOTHIN TO DO WIT HOW THEY LOOK OR DRESS.. ITS LITERALLY SOMETHING THAT DIRECTLY AFFECTS THEIR PLAY

I HAVE A LAKER ROOM, NOT A KOBE ROOM.. THE REASON I WAS A FAN OF KOBE WAS BECAUSE HE PLAYED FOR MY TEAM. IM NOT U.. WHAT DRAWS ME IS NOT ROOTED IN THE ABILITY OF ANOTHER MAN, BUT RATHER HOW THAT ABILITY CAN HELP US WIN. THATS WHY MOST LEBRON FANS ARE FEMININE IN NATURE.. THEIR ALLEGIANCE IS TO HIM, NOT TO SOMETHING BIGGER. STRAIGHT FAGOTRY. OF COURSE IM A FAN OF THE GAME.. WITOUT BEIN A FAN OF THE GAME I WOULDNT BE A FAN OF THE LAKERS. THE GAME IS BIGGER THAN THE INDIVIDUALS WHO PLAY IT. IF U LIKED YOUR KINGS HALF AS MUCH AS YOU LIKED LEBRON IT STILL WOULDNT BE ENOUGH.

Kareem has never been the guy who throws out casual, disposable hot takes shytting on players. When he talks, it's worth listening to. And he's right. Bron's behavior this season has been very odd. It's like he knows this is the end, and instead of going out blasting he wants to bask in the spotlight and be a caricature. This Lakers team isn't good. They need a lot of help to get where they want to go, and a lot of that boils down to him not wanting to put in the work because if you don't try you don't fail (in his mind). YES I get Bron works very hard on his body. But hooping with Russ for a few weeks before the season starts isn't "working hard" at building team chemistry. It's a front. It's the headline. Hard practices THROUGHOUT the season? That's the work. And we know that's not who he is.

Once Bron gets punched in the face he immediately starts separating himself from the situation and looking for an exit or excuse. That's just how I feel, sorry. Great guy, legend, one of the top 3-5 best ever. But mentally I've always felt there's something about him that just turns me off, and this season's antics are really proof of it.
